Testimonials
It has been my distinct honor and pleasure to have known Sara as an outstanding former student in my high school piano class, a member of my concert orchestra, and now as a cherished friend and musical colleague. I know that Sara continues to be a lifelong learner, committed to exploring new repertoire for her students to fit their individual needs. She encompasses that which all piano teachers should have: expertise, patience, enthusiasm, kindness, and dedication. She remains a dedicated musician and exceptional teacher. (Leonard Azzarello)
Excellent teacher. Studied with Sara in high school and went on to get a BM in Piano from Westminster Choir College and a MM in Organ Performance from Manhattan School of Music. Patient, professional, and inspiring. A great communicator, and a creative performer. (Shannon M.)
From the start of my piano journey, Mrs. Sara was the key to my success. She was always incredibly kind and supportive, while giving me the structure that I needed. She welcomed me with open arms into her studio and within just months of being with her, I noticed dramatic changes in my playing ability. Sara not only changed my life musically, but she brought so much positivity into my life and for that, I highly recommend her to be your teacher. She is truly a great person and instructor. (Elijah L.)
Sara is the most amazing piano teacher. I was an adult student who had been away from lessons for decades. Sara immediately accessed my level and we began a challenging, fun, and rewarding relationship. She brought back and advanced my skills with patience and love of her craft. She has enriched my life immeasurably. (Pat H.)
Sara is the best piano teacher. She’s genuine and personable and has an extraordinary knowledge of music and its history. She’s a talented musician and I feel like I have gained a family member when working with her. I will continue to tell everyone about how amazing she is (and she knows how to play so many songs -- even 80’s and 90’s songs!). (Omar S.)
Ms. Sara is an amazing piano teacher. She has helped me grow as a pianist and altogether person. She encourages her students to take on challenging pieces, participate in numerous recitals and performances, learn the "ins and outs" of piano theory, and to find a story within every piano piece. She showed me the importance of practice and how to prioritize my wellbeing in the process. Her lessons have helped me become a better performer and musician. Ms. Sara has helped to guide my path in pursuing my passion in life: piano. (Olivia C.)
I had piano lessons as a young child for a short period of time. When I retired, I decided that I would like to take lessons again. I met Sara through a family in my parish whose children were being taught by Sara. She is a delightful young woman and a consummate professional. I was anxious about taking lessons in my sixties, but Sara made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease. She made the lessons fun, and at the same time, before I knew it, I was playing music I was familiar with. Certainly there were the scales, études, and many pieces of music I could not believe I was able to play. I would meet students who would have lessons before and after mine and I never felt like, "What am I doing here with these young folks?!" Sara is a very talented pianist and able to teach any age and any level. I highly recommend Sara as a piano teacher and only stopped taking lessons with her after five years because she had the opportunity to move to Florida. Thank you, Sara, for teaching me so much about piano!!!!! (Muriel G.)
Sara is a sweet, talented, and energetic teacher. Her expertise and experience in how to teach has shaped and molded my daughter into a dedicated and beautiful pianist. She is extremely professional and responsive, yet warm and fun. She tailors all lessons to fit the needs of her students. I would certainly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn piano, sharpen/reinforce their skills and techniques, or simply advance in their craft. (Laura S.)
I took piano lessons with Sara for 12 years. I remember her always telling me "practice makes perfect!" and teaching me how to stay motivated and maintain a positive energy when playing piano. Even when learning new music was challenging, Sara told me to believe in myself and never get frustrated, which made things easier. Her professionalism is second to none and her enthusiasm for music is infectious. Sara is a great person, and an even better teacher. Anyone would be lucky to learn from her. (Nick P.)
Sara is a professional through and through, listening to the needs of the student constantly. Her attitude is always positive, and she always pushes you to take your piece to the next level. Very few people can be as caring and professional as Sara is. Highly recommend. (Danny C.)
Sara is the most wonderful piano teacher I have ever met! I have two boys that have been taking lessons with Sara for the last five years. My older son, Ryan, has been greatly influenced by Sara, which also motivated my younger son, Evan to play as well. Sara's passion for music and her dedication to her students definitely does not go unnoticed. Her loving and caring personality allows her to develop great relationships with young students, and deepens their respect for their teacher and the music they are learning. (Izabella M.)
I am an adult student and have been learning piano with Sara for over 3 years. It is just an amazing experience to work with Sara, who is a very experienced, thoughtful, hard working, and caring teacher. She is laser focused on her student's best interest and overall progress in all aspects of the music education. With Sara, it is not just about learning new pieces and music theory. She makes sure her students are exposed to various experiences that help to become better musicians. She organizes recitals and master classes, and suggests various musical and art events, reading, and online resources that contribute to her student's success as musicians. Sara takes an individual approach to every single student's path, guiding and inspiring toward the progress that seemed unachievable. (Katya M.)
