Testimonials

It has been my distinct honor and pleasure to have known Sara as an outstanding former student in my high school piano class, a member of my concert orchestra, and now as a cherished friend and musical colleague.  I know that Sara continues to be a lifelong learner, committed to exploring new repertoire for her students to fit their individual needs.  She encompasses that which all piano teachers should have: expertise, patience, enthusiasm, kindness, and dedication.  She remains a dedicated musician and exceptional teacher.  (Leonard Azzarello)

Excellent teacher.  Studied with Sara in high school and went on to get a BM in Piano from Westminster Choir College and a MM in Organ Performance from Manhattan School of Music.  Patient, professional, and inspiring.  A great communicator, and a creative performer.  (Shannon M.)

Sara is the most amazing piano teacher.  I was an adult student who had been away from lessons for decades.  Sara immediately accessed my level and we began a challenging, fun, and rewarding relationship.  She brought back and advanced my skills with patience and love of her craft.  She has enriched my life immeasurably.  (Pat H.)

Sara is the best piano teacher.  She’s genuine and personable and has an extraordinary knowledge of music and its history.  She’s a talented musician and I feel like I have gained a family member when working with her.  I will continue to tell everyone about how amazing she is (and she knows how to play so many songs -- even 80’s and 90’s songs!).  (Omar S.)

I had piano lessons as a young child for a short period of time.  When I retired, I decided that I would like to take lessons again.  I met Sara through a family in my parish whose children were being taught by Sara.  Sara is a delightful young woman and a consummate professional.  I was anxious about taking lessons in my sixties, but Sara made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease.  She made the lessons fun, and at the same time, before I knew it, I was playing music I was familiar with.  Certainly there were the scales, etudes, and many pieces of music I could not believe I was able to play.  I would meet students who would have lessons before and after mine and I never felt like, "What am I doing here with these young folks?!"  Sara is a very talented pianist and able to teach any age and any level.  I highly recommend Sara as a piano teacher and only stopped taking lessons with her after five years because she had the opportunity to move to Florida.  Thank you Sara for teaching me so much about piano!!!!!  (Muriel G.)

Sara is a sweet, talented, and energetic teacher.  Her expertise and experience in how to teach has shaped and molded my daughter into a dedicated and beautiful pianist.  She is extremely professional and responsive, yet warm and fun.  She has much experience in teaching young children and tailors all lessons to fit the needs of her students.  I would certainly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn piano, sharpen and reinforce their skills and techniques, or simply advance in their craft.  (Laura S.)

I took piano lessons with Sara for 12 years.  I remember her always telling me "practice makes perfect!" and teaching me how to stay motivated and maintain a positive energy when playing piano.  Even when learning new music was challenging, Sara told me to believe in myself and never get frustrated, which made things easier.  Her professionalism is second to none and her enthusiasm for music is infectious.  Sara is a great person, and an even better teacher.  Anyone would be lucky to learn from her.  (Nick P.)

Sara is a professional through and through, listening to the needs of the student constantly.  Her attitude is always positive, and she always pushes you to take your piece to the next level.  Very few people can be as caring and professional as Sara is.  Highly recommend.  (Danny C.)

Sara is the most wonderful piano teacher I have ever met!  I have two boys that have been taking lessons with Sara for the last five years.  My older son, Ryan (10), has been greatly influenced by Sara, which also motivated my younger son, Evan (7) to play as well.  Sara's passion for music and her dedication to her students definitely does not go unnoticed.  Her loving and caring personality allows her to develop great relationships with young students, and deepens their respect for their teacher and the music they are learning.  (Izabella M.)
